A.    Dependent clause “Declarative”
1.      Finite clause
Ø  Adjective             : I find the area which makes me happy
Ø  Noun                    : We know what we must do
Ø  Adverb                 : They live where they were born
2.      Non-finite clause
Ø  Adjective             : We see you leaving the room
Ø  Noun                    : to be a teacher is to have a challenging job.
Ø  Adverb                 : Whenever needed, I can be called
3.      Verb less clause
Ø  Adjective             : People in Bandung are friendly
Ø  Noun                    :
Ø  Adverb                 : When young, I was an active person


B.     Dependent clause “Interrogative”
1.      Finite clause
Ø  Noun                    : Could what he said change everything?
Ø  Adjective                         : Is that the news which you have been expecting for?
Ø  Adverb                 : Do you feel happy whenever you meet your friend?
2.      Non-finite clause
Ø  Adjective             : Why do you refuse to talk to her?
Ø  Noun                    : Was she the girl coming to your office the day before?
Ø  Adverb                 : Do you always lock the door when finishing your work?
3.      Verb less clause
Ø  Adjective             : Did you serve the man in the room?
Ø  Noun                    :
Ø  Adverb                 : Will you call him if necessary?


C.    Dependent clause “Exclamative”
1.      Finite clause
Ø  Adjective             : What a fantastic car which you have!
Ø  Noun                    : What a beautiful painting which was stolen last night!
Ø  Adverb                 : How happy I was when graduated from my university!
2.      Non-finite clause
Ø  Adjective             : What a beautiful gown worn by her that night!
Ø  Noun                    : How happy to be an artist!
Ø  Adverb                 : How happy I was when meeting her!
3.      Verb less clause
Ø  Adjective             : What a great book on the table!
Ø  Noun                    :  
Ø  Adverb                 :  What a surprised I was when successful!


D.    Dependent clause “Imperative”
1.      Finite clause
Ø  Adjective             : Notice the man wearing a black jacket
Ø  Noun                    : Explain what you know about it
Ø  Adverb                 : Scream when it hurts you
2.      Non-finite clause
Ø  Adjective             : Nominate the man having a great skill
Ø  Noun                    : Do not give up, studying grammar
Ø  Adverb                 : Do not talk being in the mosque
3.      Verb less clause
Ø  Adjective             : Respect the man helpful
Ø  Noun                    :
Ø  Adverb                 : Speak when necessary


E.     Complex sentences with noun clauses as:
1.      Subject                             : What the story says is true
2.      Object                               : I believe what you have done
3.      Complement                   : it is what I told you before
4.      Object of preposition    : I am interested in what the advertisement offers

5.      Adjective complement  : He made good what he has done
